Biography

Mike Ettling is vice president, global business process outsourcing strategy and operations and acting head of GOIS operations in Continental Europe. Mike is responsible for the creation, direction, and expansion of BPO offerings, ensuring current offerings are highly effective, profitable and can be referenced to potential clients. This responsibility includes the strategy, market positioning, program management and operations of our BPO engagements. Mike supports the five theater leaders within GOIS in the operational management of BPO engagements. In addition, Mike owns the “Scale the Summit” initiatives for BPO to ensure the attention and focus necessary to achieve the objectives of the initiatives. Mike partners closely with Sam Kingston, vice president global strategic outsourcing, and the five theater leads to position and sell BPO successfully in those markets. Mike serves as one of the three Unisys directors on the iPSL board and actively supports Duncan Tait for the financial results of iPSL/UPSL in the UK. Previously, Mike was vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific region, GOIS.

Mike joined Unisys in April 2004, from UK-listed technology company Synstar International plc, where he was managing director and executive director of the board for the past two years. Under his leadership, Synstar (which offers a range of technology infrastructure outsourcing services to clients across Europe) saw a significant increase in profit. The company posted half-year results ahead of analyst expectations and Synstar was one of the four best performing stocks in the London Stock Exchange technology sector.

Prior to joining Synstar in 2002, Mike held a number of senior positions at EDS in the UK, with responsibilities across Europe and other countries. Most recently, he was regional vice president of EDS BPM, which offers CRM, financial processing, telco billing and claims processing services. His career at EDS also embraced EDS Centrobe,

which offers consulting, solutions implementation and outsourcing services.

Mike’s earlier career was in his native South Africa.
